The original Daniel Boone Tavern opened for business on the first of September 1916 and enjoyed many years as one of Columbia’s most popular taverns. The quality of its restaurant was known statewide until the Boone Tavern closed the doors for the last time on April 1, 1975. This is now the site of the city building on 7th and Broadway. The present Boone Tavern is dedicated to the spirit of hospitality that was traditional at the original establishment.
